Helllllllooooooo, fall! Autumn may be here, but there’s still plenty of sunshine and beautiful weather to be had here in the Bay Area! That’s why I’m so in love with this Stanford Cactus Garden family photo session. The classic family ensembles paired with one of my favorite locations give me all the heart eyes. Mom coordinated outfits using Style & Select, an interactive style guide and outfit coordination tool included in my sessions. I want everyone to feel and look their best for their photos! Not to mention, this client has a natural, fabulous eye for what to wear. This Stanford Cactus Garden family photo session is a perfect reminder of why I love autumn sessions so much!
I’ve photographed this family every year since they moved here from the Midwest, so their session from last fall is the perfect way to kick off and celebrate the new season in 2019. It’s so fun to watch their kids grow, and build connections and a relationship year after year.
The session was filled with variety, “wild” earthscapes, and I swear I could almost smell the scent of fall.
I have photographed this sweet family all over the Bay Area – from their home, to Elizabeth Gamble Garden – so it was a blast to decide on a new location. I can’t wait to see them again this year! I never turn off my camera until the very last second. This time we were rewarded with some of my favorite images. The kids may have been 100% done with taking pictures but did ya see what I captured when they decided to play on a tree stump after the session was “over”?!
This Stanford Cactus Garden family photo session was all about recording life as it is right now. We walked all the way in and out of the location, taking advantage of every opportunity for different settings.
